Over the Easter long weekend the MJCQ held a four day trip to
Fraser Island, the world's largest sand island (123km / 76 miles long) and the
only place in the world where subtropical rainforest grows on sand. We camped
behind a sand dune just metres from the beach. The WWII vehicles were: four
jeeps, one Bantam trailer, one GMH trailer, Dodge WC51, Dodge Carryall,
Studebaker US6 6x6. No vehicles were bogged, the WC51 even pulled out two stuck
modern 4WD's.
